Part Time Accounting Specialist (Remote)
This job description outlines the responsibilities for managing financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tax compliance. The individual will be responsible for setting up and managing payroll, processing payments, and handling payroll taxes. Additionally, they will manage QuickBooks, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly and yearly financial reports. They will also handle state excise tax payments and filings, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure compliance with licensing requirements in North and South Dakota.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Payroll Management:
Set up and maintain employee payroll records, including Form W-4 and state equivalent forms, hire dates, pay rates, and deduction information.
Process payroll, including direct deposit and payment methods.
Manage and deposit payroll taxes, including federal and state income taxes, Social Security, and Medicare taxes.
Manage pay rates established by IBEW standards for powerline jobs.
· QuickBooks Management:
Categorize transactions and reconcile accounts within QuickBooks.
Generate and analyze monthly and yearly financial reports, including Profit and Loss statements.
· Tax Compliance:
Prepare and file monthly state excise tax payments and filings in South Dakota.
Manage and ensure compliance with sales tax, excise tax, and contractor's license requirements in North and South Dakota.
· Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Process and pay bills (accounts payable).
Manage invoices and collect outstanding payments (accounts receivable).
· General Financial Management:
Prepare and analyze monthly and yearly financial reports.
Assist with other financial tasks as needed.
Fencer/Fence Installer (Seasonal/PT/FT)
Job Title: Fencer / Fence Installer
Location: Lemmon, SD / Hettinger, ND
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fencer to join our team, specializing in agricultural, livestock, and perimeter fencing. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing barbed wire fences, driving T-posts, setting steel H-braces, and operating heavy equipment such as skid steers. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position that requires attention to detail and commitment to safety. Must be open to travel up to 35 miles to job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and repair various types of fencing, including barbed wire, woven wire, and high-tensile systems.
Drive T-posts and set steel H-brace structures to specification.
Operate and maintain a skid steer and other equipment for drilling holes, moving materials, and clearing fence lines.
Read and interpret layout plans, property lines, and fencing schematics.
Ensure all work complies with safety and environmental regulations.
Load, transport, and unload tools and materials to job sites.
Work independently or as part of a team in rural and remote environments.
Perform general maintenance of tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in fencing or similar outdoor labor work preferred.
Proficient in using fencing tools: post drivers, stretchers, wire cutters, etc.
Skilled in operating a skid steer (loader/bucket, post pounder, auger attachment experience a plus).
Familiar with steel H-structure installation techniques and anchoring systems.
Ability to read job specs and follow fencing layouts.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions and in rugged and remote terrain.
Preferred Qualifications:
CDL or equipment transport experience.
Basic mechanical skills for field repairs of tools/equipment.
Pay: Experience based.
